It’s really important to stay sharp and focus on goals you want to achieve within the workplace. Once you notice your goals it’s easier to chase them. Always work hard.

at least 9-10 hr shifts, so the days become long and repetitive

Working these type of jobs has opened doors for me with saving money to travel and apply for international internships. Without college jobs, I wouldn't be able to support myself or my love for travel.

It was outside. I got to move around. I was able to drive a forklift all day

They had a hard time hiring people and the right people, so I was expected much more then I should've been.

Hyrdrate. Also, keep yourself busy and you should be fine.

Before you get a summer job, or any part time job during school, try your best to make it something that will be applicable to what you want to do in the future. Even if it’s just answering phones or running errands at a company your interested in. I would only recommend this job to people who are interested in management after college.
