Brown County United Way offers a dynamic internship opportunity that provides an undergraduate level student with an opportunity to learn about and contribute to the ALICE focused work of Brown County United Way.
The selected candidate will assist with the following work:
Community Connections Newsletter (Constant Contact)
The intern will assist in constructing and managing the Community Connections Newsletter using Constant Contact.
Skills Utilized and Developed:
- Designing and building digital newsletters
- Managing recipient lists and scheduling email send-outs
- Engaging with the community through email marketing
- Analyzing engagement data to improve outreach strategies
Event Media & Photography
The intern will serve as a secondary media person at events, gatherings, and meetings to capture photos and videos from different perspectives. They will also assist in editing, archiving, and sharing content.
Skills Utilized and Developed:
- Event photography and videography
- Photo and video editing
- Content organization and archiving
- Visual storytelling for social media and marketing
Meeting Agenda Development
The intern will participate in pre-meeting discussions to help create structured meeting agendas for Marketing & Communications. They will have opportunities to collaborate with various teams and attend key meetings.

Social Media Content Creation
The intern will help create and schedule content for platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok. They will also collaborate with staff members to source and share community engagement photos.

- Photography and video editing for social platforms
- Understanding audience engagement metrics
Press Release Writing & Media Relations
The intern will assist in drafting and distributing press releases while learning how to engage with media contacts.

- Responding to media inquiries and requests
Website Management (WordPress)
The intern will gain experience updating and maintaining website content using WordPress.
