Development Intern

Title: Development Intern

Position summary:

To further the mission of Camp Anokijig, supporting the organization’s fund development program and team. Reporting to the Development Director, the Development Intern will help manage Camp’s donor database, support Camp’s annual and capital fund campaigns, and support special events. The Development Intern will also complete other duties as assigned by Development Director.

 

Essential functions:

The duties identified below are the essential functions of the position.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Database management
    • Assist with the following:
      • Maintaining, managing and preserving the integrity of the donor database (eTapestry)
      • Managing data entry for financial and in-kind contributions and pledges
      • Creating and updating constituent records
      • Generating donor acknowledgement letters and gift receipts for cash and in-kind contributions within 72 hours of receipt
      • Maintaining development webpages and related
  • Support special events 
    • In partnership with the Development Director, assist with all components of special events
    • Help coordinate logistics for community events that support fund development activities
  • Fundraising
    • Help execute mailings, mass emails, and mass texts focused on events and fundraising campaigns
    • In partnership with marketing manager, help coordinate event and fundraising-related social media campaigns

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this position successfully, an individual must demonstrate regular, predictable attendance and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and skills required.  The individual must be able to successfully pass background checks.

Experience, knowledge & skills required:

  • Aptitude for computers and Microsoft Office suite
  • Proficiency in writing
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of privileged information
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
