Content Creator Intern for Discussion Group Materials

About Us:

We are Minnesota Center for Nonviolence. We empower people to create a safe, just world by applying principles of nonviolence to transform lives, wage peace, and build strong communities. We do this by providing educational and communication resources and opportunities.

Position: Unpaid Internship – Content Creator for Discussion Group Materials.

Location: Remote.

Duration: Flexible based on mutual agreement of intern and MCNV.

Hours: Initial estimate 100 hours total. Actual hours based on mutual agreement of intern and MCNV.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and creative intern to help develop content for a discussion group. You will build on an existing framework to create engaging and informative material for approximately 8 units. Each unit will include:

- Expository Information: Clear, easy-to-understand information on the topic.

- Discussion Questions: Thought-provoking questions to encourage group conversation.

- Case Studies: Real-life examples to illustrate key points and spark discussion.

Responsibilities:

- Research and gather relevant information on each unit's topic.

- Write clear and concise expository content.

- Develop meaningful and engaging discussion questions.

- Create case studies that are relevant and thought-provoking.

- Collaborate with our team for feedback and revisions.

- Maintain regular and prompt communication.

Requirements:

- Strong writing and library research skills.

- Ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple and clear way.

- Creativity in developing engaging content.

- Interest in nonviolence and social justice.

- Self-motivated and able to work independently.

- Reliable internet connection and computer access.

- Access to library facilities suitable for necessary research.
