Construction Operations Intern

Broad Function

The Construction Operations Intern will support various aspects of construction projects under the guidance of experienced construction professionals. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in project management, site operations, and construction processes.


Essential Functions
•Promote, demonstrate and instill Brock’s Bsafe and Bbest culture in all aspects of the business

•Project Support: Assist project managers and site supervisors in coordinating and executing construction projects. This may involve tasks such as site visits, progress tracking, and documentation management.

•Safety Compliance: Learn and adhere to safety protocols and regulations on construction sites. Participate in safety meetings and inspections to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.

•Logistics Management: Support logistics operations related to construction projects, including material procurement, inventory management, and transportation coordination.

•Quality Assurance: Assist in monitoring and maintaining quality standards throughout the construction process. Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.

•Documentation and Reporting: Assist in maintaining accurate project documentation, including drawings, permits, andreports. Compile data and generate reports to track project progress and performance.

•Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, subcontractors, and vendors, to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.

•Problem Solving: Participate in problem-solving efforts to address challenges and obstacles encountered during construction projects. Propose and implement solutions to optimize project outcomes.

Education & Experience
•Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, etc.) or recent graduate.

•Strong interest in the construction industry and a desire to learn and grow in this field.

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

•Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with project management software is a plus.
