Projects Manager O'Hare

CHICAGO DEPARTMENT OF AVIATION

(Terminal Operations)

Salary $105,564.00 annually

                                                      Number of vacancies (1) ONE.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

Manages planning, oversees terminal initiatives, gathers data, and provides analysis for operational purposes in support of the Airport Facilities Managers, Assistant Commissioner, General Managers, and Deputy Commissioner. 

Coordinates and manages project tasks and deliverables, responsible for creating plans including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines, serves as a point of contact for the Terminal Operation's Assistant Commissioner and General Managers when multiple team members or sections are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy, and performs quality control on projects throughout development to maintain the standards expected. 

Consults with staff and consultants to determine scope of services, budgets, establishes timelines, and implements processes to track and monitor the progress of projects and the accomplishment of key deliverables. 

Manages administrative tasks for CDA custodial program. Creates a positive passenger experience by ensuring a well-functioning terminal facility that allows travelers to navigate the airport efficiently and make use of all the airport's amenities. Performs other related duties as required.

Location: Chicago Department of Aviation, O’Hare International Airport (O’Hare International Airport, Terminal 2)                      

Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Tuesday-Saturday

 

THIS POSITION IS EXEMPT FROM THE CAREER SERVICE

Candidates selected for hire must pass an airport background check and a Security Threat Assessment.

 

Qualifications

 

MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Graduation from an accredited college or university with Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Business or Public Administration or in a field of study directly related to the responsibilities of the position, PLUS at least five years of project management work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

A valid state of Illinois Driver’s License is required at the time of hire.

Candidates selected for hire are required to obtain the Basic (yellow) Airfield Driving endorsement within three (3) months of hire and maintain it throughout their employment.
