Field Intern

Field Intern

 

Work alongside experienced Ice Age Trail Alliance staff on the Trail and Lands teams, as a Field Intern. You'll support large-scale Trailbuilding and habitat restoration projects during prime season. And, interact directly with volunteers, expand Alliance restoration efforts, organize/maintain equipment/tools, and assist with a Trail Assessment pilot project.

You'll also serve as the liaison between staff and contracted Trailbuilding crews. During the internship, you can expect to gain experience planning and organizing events, grow knowledge of land restoration techniques, hone interpersonal skills, learn GIS and GPS data collection basics, and develop Trailbuilding skills—all while learning how a national scenic trail is created and managed. Applicant must be 18-35 years old (because of funding source).
