Engineering Student Intern

The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking to hire a student level engineering assistant to contribute in cutting edge research and developing new technologies for a Department of Defense (DoD) customer. This position allows a student to gain valuable real world engineering experience. The student hired for this role will be responsible for supporting our engineering staff in the Misson Systems Branch. Work tasks will be assigned based on current program needs but will likely include writing code, working with drones, and assisting engineers with their daily tasks. This is an in-person internship located in Stafford, VA. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen- security clearance eligibility required
  • Must be a high school graduate pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity in one of the following program languages (C#, Java, Python)
  • Able to work effectively, both independently and as a team member
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing  
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and detail oriented
