Clean Transportation Internship (multiple locations across United States)

The U.S. Department of Energy's Clean Cities University Workforce Development Program (CCUWDP) is now accepting applications for our summer 2024 internship cohort, and we want YOU to be a part of it!

Join us in revolutionizing the way our nation thinks about and accesses clean transportation. This is a chance to become an integral part of our dynamic Clean Cities and Communities network, where you'll have the opportunity to work side by side with inspiring mentors and stakeholders who share your passion for a sustainable future.

Whether you're an undergraduate or graduate student, or have recently graduated within the past year, this program will provide you with unparalleled first-hand experience in the world of clean transportation. No matter your major, we welcome you to apply and be a part of this transformative industry shift.

 

Here are more details about the internship: 

1)   You will play a vital role in expanding public awareness and advancing the markets of advanced vehicle technologies, alternative fuels, and practices that reduce petroleum consumption.

2)   From community outreach initiatives to crafting compelling social media campaigns, organizing fleet events, and collaborating with stakeholders, your contributions will directly impact projects in your region. Many coalitions are actively working to ensure the benefits of federal investments in clean transportation reach communities that are underserved and overburdened by air pollution, so there is a chance for you to be involved in those initiatives as well. The specific role responsibilities vary widely and can be shaped by your interests and academic background.

3)    With internships available across various U.S. Clean Cities and Communities locations, your journey with CCUWDP could lead to exciting permanent positions with numerous industry stakeholders in the future!

4)   Internships are offered for 30 or 40 hours per week over 10 weeks, providing a flexible schedule to accommodate your studies.

5)    CCUWDP offers stipends ranging from $4,500 to $7,200, depending on your academic level and hours assigned by the coalition.

 

This internship will take place from approximately June 3, 2024 - August 16, 2024, and applications are due by 11:59pm PT on , Sunday April 28, 2024
