Regional Human Resources Generalist

RTP Company is hiring a Regional Human Resources Generalist to support operations for our textile division at production plants operating as Crescent Woolen Mills and Miller Waste Mills in Wisconsin and Indiana. This position will be based out of Two Rivers, WI with regular travel to Fremont, IN expected.

This position is responsible for recruiting and onboarding new employees, guiding them through company benefits, handling employee relations, overseeing site timekeeping, and ensuring HR compliance at assigned plant locations.

Work Schedule: This position is salaried/exempt and will typically work traditional office hours with flexible hours as needed that may include early mornings, evenings, or weekends to support production operation schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruiting function for plant positions, including posting, sourcing, interviewing, and coordinating pre-employment testing
  • Organize and conduct new employee orientation, onboarding, and site training programs
  • Administer and assist in entering site timekeeping
  • Assist with benefits communication and actions
  • Assist in investigating employees’ complaints and being a resource to employee questions
  • Ensure proper employee communications on HR related items
  • Maintain employee records and paperwork confidentially
  • Represent employer in community and recruiting events
  • Assist as needed in site safety programs and workers compensation claims
  • Coordinate site employee events, such as the picnic and holiday celebrations
  • Assist with Human Resources policy and project development
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • 3+ years of broad Human Resources experience required, preferably in manufacturing/production environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Experience managing multi-state HR compliance preferred
  • Experience using HRIS, ATS, and other HR technology solutions
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Must have a general knowledge of employment laws and best practices

Crescent Woolen Mills is a manufacturer of woolen-spun yarns located on the western shore of Lake Michigan in beautiful Two Rivers, WI. Crescent has provided the best natural and synthetic yarns to the textile industry for almost 100 years. Crescent Woolen Mills converts fibers into yarns sold to manufacturers of knitted and woven products. The textile operations performed by Crescent Woolen Mills include blending, carding, spinning, winding, doubling, and twisting. In addition, Crescent’s wholly owned subsidiary, Owen Glove Lining, manufactures knitted fleece linings for the safety, apparel and sporting goods industries. Fibers converted into yarns by Crescent Woolen Mills include wool, alpaca, angora, nylon, acrylic, polyester, Nomex, Kevlar and Kanecaron modacrylic.
