Position Overview

Through hands-on experience as well as observational and mentorship activities, the IT Intern will have the opportunity to learn about several aspects of Information Technology, Biotechnology and working in a real business environment.

 

This is an ideal internship for an experienced intern, providing the opportunity to rotate, shadow, and work with Information Technology executives at Exact Sciences. 

 

Essential Duties

include but are not limited to the following:

  • Derive valuable insights from exposure to strategic decision-making.
  • Shadow Chief Information Officer and key members of the IT Leadership (ITL) team.
  • Actively contribute to project execution under the guidance of the ITL.
  • Conduct research on industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Act as a problem solver to drive successful completion of assigned tasks.
  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

 

Travel Requirements: 

  • Ability and means to travel between Madison locations

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Enrollment toward Bachelor's degree in IT, Information Science, Computer Science or related field (ideally Senior standing with intention to pursue a graduate program, in a related field, immediately following graduation) or enrollment toward a Master's degree in IT, Information Science, Computer Science or related field.
  • Previous internship experience in an IT or IT related role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Appetite to learn; general business acumen.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Salary Range:

$33,000.00 - $53,000.00

 

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis.
