Programmer Analyst II Hybrid

This position may be considered for a hybrid work arrangement based on ALLETE’s needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the employee’s position will be a blend of work performed both in-person and at an offsite location such as an employee's home office.  This position will report to Duluth, MN.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical programming analysis and support to users including design, development, modification, problem resolution, and short-term planning to meet business objectives
  • Plan and recommend process solutions for the company
  • Responsible for design, requirement analysis, installation, documentation, troubleshooting, and monitoring of computer systems

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or another related field of study is preferred 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Four years or more related job experience 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Must have the ability to provide occasional after-hours support 
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license 
  • This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude

  • Other programming languages/frameworks 
  • Technical Writing, communications skills
  • Customer Service experience 
  • Machine learning and artificial intelligence
  • Data governance
  • Cyber Security
