Lead Systems Engineer (00000357357 Level 4)

Executive Transport Services & Support (ETS&S) is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer in the Oklahoma City, OK in support of International Government Head of State (IGHOS) Programs. This position within the Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) organization will implement and use Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) methodology and system modeling tools to perform design, manage the System Architecture Models, Business process models including interfaces, key performance parameters, and operational concepts for IGHOS platforms. The candidate will be a member of a dynamic and diverse Systems Engineering team in Oklahoma City. This Level 4 position is located in Oklahoma City.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite and at one of the listed locations.  This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed locations options.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES      
Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
  • Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
  • Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
  • Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes. Resolves cross-functional technical issues.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 5+ years of systems engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications/Desired Skills (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of Aerospace Engineering Experience
  • Experience of system architecture modeling and tools. Ability to model system states/modes, behaviors, functional threads, user and activity diagrams per SySML framework.
  • Experience of how to derive and allocate requirements (e.g., system, sub-system, software) and show traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Experience of certification and qualification processes and procedures, including knowledge of governing regulations and compliance requirements
  • Experience of database management tools (e.g. Records Management Database, Access, Excel)
  • Experience of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and systems
  • Experience applying Systems Engineering principals and Systems Integration in the Aerospace industry
  • Experience in Military Commercial Derivative Airworthiness Certification
  • Experience with Boeing Process Manual and Military Commercial Derivative certification processes for Supplemental Type Certificates
  • Experience communicating verbally and in writing, to a variety of audiences including FAA representation, ODA Leadership, Engineering Unit Members (E-UM) & Project Administrators (PA), and Program & Functional Leaders
  • Systems thinker capable of making engineering proposals based on data analysis and forecasting wide reaching and longer-term impacts
  • Experience developing presentations and presenting to multiple levels of an organization
  • Experience investigating and finding solutions to complex technical or regulatory issues
  • Experience recognizing and balance conflicting priorities

Typical Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range for Level 4: 111,350-150,650
