Deputy Director of Community and Economic Development
The City of Appleton is accepting applications for Deputy Director of Community and Economic Development. This is a management and professional position responsible for supervising professional staff and project management of Community and Economic Development programs. The position is responsible for recommending department policies, development of work programs and work objectives, assisting in the development of operating and capital budget items, and assisting in the resolution of difficult administration and technical concerns. The incumbent works under the general direction of the Community and Economic Development Director.
Qualifications
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration Community/ Economic Development, Geography, or related field. Eight to 10 years of experience in community planning, community development, and/or economic development required; Master’s degree and AICP and/or CECD certification desired; or a combination of applicable experience and training.
Salary
The salary range for this position is $81,016.00 - $121,534.40 annually, plus an excellent fringe benefit package.
