Internship Summary
Internships at the National Council for Mental Wellbeing provide recent or current college students with a 12-week remote experience to grow within a professional area of interest. As a National Council intern, you will model our organization's values: showing a bias for action, helping shape the future, being a team player, being curious, and championing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
All interns are paid $20/hour. This is a remote, full-time internship projected to start with a spring cohort at the National Council on February 22, 2023 and end on May 17, 2023.

Internship Responsibilities
The Operations Intern is a valued asset to the three teams represented in MHFA Operations—Business Operations, Project Management, Business Intelligence and supports the team with daily tasks while learning about the operational functions of the Mental Health First Aid program.

  • Assist Business Operations with providing quality storefront client support
  • Support Business Intelligence with data reporting and analysis
  • Support Project Management Office with coordination and internal communication efforts
  • Participate in professional development opportunities organized for interns, such as virtual meetups with organizational leadership, journal club, peer networking, and other professional development opportunities

Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • Current or recent enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in a related field
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proficient using the Microsoft Office suite
  • Solid written, oral, and interpersonal skills
  • Results-oriented with a very high attention to detail
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
