Certified Nursing Assistant

Salary: $18-20 an hour
$1/hr pay differential on the weekends!
$1/hr pay differential on night shifts!
 
General Purpose:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant your job is to provide personal care and assistance to clients in Assisted Living Facilities and in the home setting as permitted by federal and state law and regulations. Working for Interim Healthcare, Employees have the flexibility to create their own schedules (full-time or part-time) across various locations in Brown, Manitowoc, and Kewaunee counties. 
Certified Nursing Assistant Essential Functions:
  • Assist the client with activities of daily living such bathing, grooming, toileting and elimination, and nutritional intake
  •  Assist the client with ambulation, transfers and/or range of motion exercises.
  •  Utilizes infection control measures such as hand washing and personal protective equipment.
  • Observes and reports safety hazards and changes in client condition to Supervisor.
  • Collection of clients weight, intake/output, blood glucose
Minimum Certified Nursing Assistant Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age (required)
  • High School diploma or equivalent and Nurse Assistant certification as required by the state in which employed (required)
  •  Drivers license/transportation required 
  • CPR certified 
Certified Nursing Assistant Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
  • Successful completion of appropriate knowledge (competency) assessment.
  • Meets applicable health requirements to provide care.
  • Able to hear, speak and write and read in English in a manner understood by most people.
  • Able to effectively handle multiple tasks or functions.
  • Able to communicate with all levels of clinical and non-clinical individuals.
Certified Nursing Assistant Working Conditions & Physical Effort:
  • Able to travel locally from assignment to assignment.
  • Work is normally performed in Assisted Living Facilities and patients homes
  • Medium physical activity that may require constant lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50lbs
