ABOUT HALLMARK’S INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
We need sharp, energetic people to help us create, engineer, market, and deliver our products worldwide. Challenging summer internship opportunities are available for candidates pursuing degrees in areas such as Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Communications, Engineering, Human Resources, Psychology, Statistics, Physics, Data Science, and Computer Science.
 
Hallmark’s internship program (typically late May through early August) provides the valuable opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge to meaningful projects in a corporate environment. AN OVERVIEW
Hallmark’s Print Internship provides you with an opportunity to gain experience in some of the following areas: lithography, flexography, secondary decorative processes, process control and color science. As a Print Intern, you will work on impactful projects rooted in real business need. You will use your print or graphic technology acumen and problem-solving skills to understand Hallmark’s supply chain priorities, the goal of your projects(s), and to research, strategize, and develop a feasible solution for your project(s) or the problem at hand. Assignments are project-based with specific objectives such as increasing productivity and reducing costs. Past projects have included:
 
  • Enabling business growth through analyzing solutions to increase gift wrap production capacity.
  • Creating a standard operating procedure for routine print equipment maintenance to maximize Hallmark’s return on investment.
  • Developing a Gantt chart to outline tasks and timeline for implementing new production equipment in our manufacturing facilities.
 
Some things that are shaping up to be prospective projects for the summer of 2022 include:
 
  • Researching applications for small format, full-color, Ink Jet technology across Hallmark products and processes.
  • Supporting the acquisition of new capital assets and technology at our manufacturing plants.
 
This is a challenging summer internship opportunity where you will have the opportunity to present your work and recommendations to senior leaders and business partners.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
The following is required to be considered for this role:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in a graphic arts, technology management, or another print/media discipline with a graduation date of December 2022, May 2023, December 2023, or May 2024.
  • Must be able to pass color blindness testing.
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Manages well through ambiguity.
  • Previous internship experience in a graphic arts, technology management, or other print discipline.
 
Additional Details
All internships will be at the Hallmark Headquarters or outlying facilities in or near the Kansas City, Missouri metropolitan area. This internship will occur summer of 2022 (typically late May through early August) and may occur virtually. The intern program at Hallmark is the primary source for entry-level full-time hires either directly after graduation or for future pipeline. Full-time hiring decisions are based on performance and business need.
