System & Business Process Analyst - NCJTC

Basic Functions & Responsibilities

The Systems and Business Process Analyst is responsible for meeting business objectives with technical solutions and business processes, serving as the link between people, process, and technology for the National Criminal Justice Training Center (NCJTC). This position continuously analyzes and measures the application of technology and process to business objectives to identify new opportunities and improvements. Through comprehensive analysis and measurement, the analyst will identify, initiate, and oversee innovative and economical solutions. Responsibilities also include oversight of several interrelated projects, including those related to our registration system, website and CRM to provide recommendations for improvement.

Essential Job Functions/Secondary Job Functions

  1. Review and evaluate systems, processes, and data to identify solutions that meet goals and improve efficiency.
  2. Initiate and oversee improvements to business processes and operating procedures across a wide range of systems and functional areas.
  3. Partner with project teams to recommend solutions using existing and new technologies, providing data and other information to support decision making.
  4. Partner with IT to identify appropriate technical solutions.
  5. Define scope, objectives, and requirements for workflows, reports, and data to enable and support business processes.
  6. Facilitate process workshops with business users to elicit process requirements and identify process improvements.
  7. Apply knowledge of process modeling notations to document business processes.
  8. Create reports and dashboards to support business processes and standard operating procedures.
  9. Support various applications and technologies to ensure system availability and stability.
  10. Create and maintain technical documentation that supports system configurations.
  11. Create end-user documentation and participate in system testing and training as needed.

Qualifications, Training and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in related field, AND
  2. Minimum five years related, relevant occupational experience, OR
  3. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
  4. Experience with project management and Microsoft Dynamics and Workflow preferred.
  5. CCBA or CBAP certification a plus.

  14. Willingness to travel.
