Our dynamic and driven HR team at MACC is hiring an HR Coordinator! The HR Coordinator is a skilled and strategic relationship builder with an entrepreneurial spirit, strong writing and critical thinking skills, a keen attention to detail, and a passion for nonprofits. The HR Coordinator will work in partnership with HR Consultants and hiring managers to execute our collaborative hiring process across a diverse group of human service nonprofits in the Twin Cities. We are looking for candidates with a deep commitment and understanding of the Twin Cities community, with a celebrated level of emotional intelligence, ability to anticipate needs, tech savvy, and the expertise to manage multiple projects at once.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Staffing Support:
·      Support staffing needs for multiple organizations, which includes developing and maintaining job posting templates, and coordinating the interview and selection process from application to onboarding.
·      Administers background and motor vehicle checks.
·      Completes and/or verifies completion of new-hire documentation, including applications and all necessary and related documents.
·      Conducts new employee orientation.
·      Verifies all I-9 documentation and maintains records.
·      Responsible for beginning the employee personnel.
·      Provide support with Human Resources integration of new member organizations.
·      Provides thought leadership and ownership of the New Hire experience
·      Provides training and resources for managers as they navigate the New Hire process.
Project Management
·      Collaborate with members of HR team at the appropriate times on projects.
·      Meet deadlines and expectations as identified from project sponsor while effectively communicating throughout the duration of the project.
·      Projects will cross the functional areas of Human Resources: Staffing, Systems (HRIS, timekeeping), onboarding, compliance, reporting, etc.
             
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
·      Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in a relevant field, or demonstrably equivalent knowledge gained through alternative courses of study and life experience.
·      0-2 years of work experience in Human Resources.
·      Knowledge of the human services nonprofit sector required; experience working in a nonprofit setting preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
·      Strong independent judgement and problem solving skills
·      Ability to work independently with little guidance
·      Ability to seek guidance from members of the team for assistance when necessary
·      “Systems minded” is preferred – ability to think through how one process will affect another process and how that affects the member experience
·      Look for and implement efficiencies in all aspects
·      Excellent time management skills and the ability to keep a project on schedule
·      Eloquent written and verbal communication
Licenses and/or Certifications:
·      Valid MN Drivers’ License, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet MACC’s driving record requirements.
