Fall Market Research Internship (Paid)

ERm Research is seeking a market research intern. This is a paid internship and you’ll be expected to spend at least 14 hours a week working with us remotely (and potentially transitioning back to the office whenever we do).

While this is a semester-long internship position, there is the potential for the internship to be extended based on performance and availability.

Who We Are:
ERm Research is a custom research and marketing consulting company, specializing in delivering audience feedback on movies, Broadway, sports and all other forms of consumer entertainment and advertising. We use methodologies like intercept surveys, online testing, and focus groups to help our clients understand their projects and their audiences at every stage, from inception to market.

Who You Are:
You are fascinated by the film, theater or sports industry, and you want to learn more about how these industries use research to inform their decisions. You’re a wizard in PowerPoint and Excel (or want to become one). You think using “wizard” in a job description is a little passé. You’re an excellent communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You know the difference between an en dash and an em dash (or want to learn). Sometimes you dream in numbers.

What You’ll Do:
You’ll join a small team, which will allow you to learn about every facet of our operation. Most of the time, you’ll be proofreading numbers or text for the reports that we write on astoundingly short turnaround times. You’ll also learn to weave open-ended, qualitative responses into concrete categories that help us tell a story. You’ll hit up Google to go on random research expeditions. You’ll learn about new projects every day and hopefully come up with your own ways to help us. You’ll watch movies early in the production process and try not to cringe at how bad some of them are. We’re also very open to interns working up to larger tasks and responsibilities.
