The purpose of this internship is to prepare college students for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization. The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. You will be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge! 
 
Workforce Connect (WFC) Product Portfolio consists of a collection of Clients (Android, iOS, and Big Windows) providing Telephony, Push-To-Talk (PTT), and Profile/User/Role Management coupled to cloud hosted services offering end-user (customers) a robust suite of communications, collaboration, and knowledge capabilities. WFC Product line increases business operations efficiency aiding in increased customer satisfaction, increased associate productivity and compelling ROI proposition. WFC Product line consists of roughly 24 interrelated products/services available on Zebra mobile computing platforms, Consumer and purpose specific devices. WFC has been enjoying great success in customer interest with many large “wins” since onset of the program in Y2012. 



Responsibilities

Project work may include one of following core deliverables: 
 
  • Mobile Application Client Development 
  • Development of Telephony, Push-to-Talk, and Devices/User Management services/features/functions for Android and/or IOS Platform 
  • Server Development
  • Development of Core services supporting client features/functions, interacting to standard infrastructures (e.g. AD, IDPs), and interacting to customer back-end solutions 
Other duties may include: 
  • Product related documentation 
  • Production of demonstrations (live/recorded) for progress throughout sprints 
  • Provide training to various disciplines (Managed Services, Sales) highlighting functions of product planning, tracking, and documentation 
  • Develop planning, organizational and leadership skills
  • Increase technology knowledge and skills
  • Develop team-based work proficiencies
  • Develop interpersonal skills to connect with day-to-day business contacts through follow up activities



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Solutions Engineering, or similar field of study
  • Must have an anticipated graduation date between May 2023 - May 2022
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of programming knowledge in one or more of the following: Java, C, C++, C#, JSON, XML, library integration, SQL/DB
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Android and/or iOS application development, frameworks and troubleshooting 
  • Capabilities in critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills 
  • Suer interface/Human Factory/Graphic Design for Mobile Applications and/or web services 
  • Knowledge of solutions integration (application/services) with testing/troubleshooting 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
  • Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
  • Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic, and/or extracurricular experiences
  • Ability to collaborate as part of a team
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
