The purpose of this internship is to prepare college students for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization. The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. You will be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge! 
 
The Sales Engineer is a crucial part of our ‘sales team’ approach to our customers, as led by an Account Manager. The SE often becomes the engineer of record on many larger opportunities, assuming responsibilities for proof-of-concept deliverables to demonstrate our capabilities, as well as help establish and seek agreement on success criteria for customer acceptance for these solutions. This is a role where decisions are to be made quickly – sometimes autonomously – in order to keep pace with the fast response our customers and sales peers expect. Continuous engagement and communication with the sales team is needed to make sure that technical expectations align with the desired customer impact. An SE can have responsibility of many projects concurrently in order to help assure our sales success with our customers. 



Responsibilities

  • Deliver packaged demonstration scripts and equipment lists to Sales team, enabling customers to have a better visualization of the capabilities of Zebra solutions
  • Work with the Sales Engineering team to refine communication portals and drive customer vision 
  • Create demonstration projects utilized in briefing centers 
  • Develop planning, organizational and leadership skills
  • Increase technology knowledge and skills
  • Develop team-based work proficiencies
  • Develop interpersonal skills to connect with day-to-day business contacts through follow up activities



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering (with a CS background/minor), or Manufacturing Engineering (with a CS background/minor)
  • Must have an anticipated graduation date between December 2022 - May 2024
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiar with app development and collecting use-case requirements for computing systems 
  • Proficient in mobile technology
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
  • Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
  • Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic, and/or extracurricular experiences
  • Ability to collaborate as part of a team
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
