The purpose of this internship is to prepare college students for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization. The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. You will be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge!
Zebra Ventures is the strategic investment arm of Zebra Technologies. With the discipline of a financial investor and the value of a strategic partner, we invest in early stage companies that extend Zebra’s vision of empowering enterprise customers with a performance edge. Working closely with our portfolio companies, we provide venture capital to sustain a business through the startup, growth and expansion phases. Perhaps more importantly, we bring deep domain expertise, unique access to our engineering resources and a vast distribution network to help portfolio companies meet and exceed their growth plans.
Responsibilities
- Source deals in relevant markets
- Vet and evaluate organizations
- Prepare pitch decks and presentations for key stakeholders
- Manage existing portfolio companies to drive increases in valuation and move them to a profitable exit
- Develop planning, organizational and leadership skills
- Increase technology knowledge and skills
- Develop team-based work proficiencies
- Develop interpersonal skills to connect with day-to-day business contacts through follow up activities
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or Engineering
- Must either a current MBA student or an undergraduate student with an anticipated graduation date between December 2022 - May 2023
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
- Must reside within 50 miles of the primary work location
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strategic thinker
- Understanding of Venture Capital, Private Equity, and Investment Banking
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Automation and Analysis
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
- Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
- Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic, and/or extracurricular experiences
- Ability to collaborate as part of a team
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
