Engineering Intern
The intern engineer will work with Metso: Outotec engineering team to understand our products and how their discipline is applied to Metso: Outotec products. The intern will perform hands-on design work and perform calculations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Performs related engineering calculations.
Performs hands-on design work.
Works in collaboration with the engineering team on special projects.
Working closely with lead engineers and managers to provide technical problem-solving.
Identifying opportunities for upgrading and improving customer equipment and processes
Assisting engineers in preparing formal engineering specifications for equipment or internal workflows.
Preparing engineering drawings for equipment design and manufacturing.
Assisting engineers in producing technically sound designs which meet the product requirements.
Applying engineering knowledge, principles, and best practices to meet requirements and specifications.
Showing a commitment to quality, ethics, and a focus on meeting the needs and expectations of both internal and external customers.
Observing safety regulations and exhibiting a concern for safety.
Work as a member of an interdisciplinary team
Providing input to facilitate process improvement.
Undertaking other duties as may be assigned by the Engineering Manager or other management personnel.
