HR Intern

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  1. Work closely with the Human Resource team in research, development and implementation of programs, policies, and procedures regarding employment issues.
  2. Assist in organization of HR department.
  3. Assist in the Recruitment processes of the HR Department.
  4. Assist in the employment, termination, and unemployment compensation processes.
  5. Help out HR department with everyday and situational tasks.
  6. Assist in setting and reaching department goals and objectives.
  7. Adhere to strict confidentiality standards.


GENERAL EMPLOYMENT CONDUCT & RESPONSIBILIES

 
  1. Attendance on the job, as well as to trainings, continuing education, and meetings as scheduled. Accept additional work assignment/overtime hours as needed
  2. Be knowledgeable in and observe all Clarity Care practices, procedures, and policies.
  3. Cooperate with supervisor in evaluating and improving performance.
  4. Work cooperatively with all team members to help fulfill the mission and philosophy of Clarity Care.
  5. Exercise good judgment, decision making, and regard for safety within all aspects of performing the job duties of a HR Intern.


QUALIFICATIONS

 
  1. Possess physical and mental aptitudes and capabilities that will enable them to do the essential functions of the job.
  2. Possess ability to learn, independently assess situations, problem-solve, and respond appropriately and safely to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  3. Demonstrate ability to communicate, understand, follow written, verbal, or demonstrated instruction, write information, and request assistance. Ability to communicate well with all types of people – external and internal consumers of services.
  4. Ability to secure, collect, utilize data and information necessary to do the job and accomplish the reasons for the job.
5.     Posses physical aptitudes and capabilities that will enable performance of the essential functions of the job including: ability to stoop, stand, pull, push, hear, see, kneel, walk, grasp, reach, talk, and lift at least 30 pounds. 
6.     Perform all other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

 
  1. Sophomore, Junior, or Senior Human Resource Management major in good standing.
  2. Previous experience working in Human Resources preferred. 
  3. Knowledge of general business practices and computer skills including various HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  4. Ability to work cooperatively with and under the direction and supervision of a variety of persons.
  5. Excellent organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills.
  6. Must pass a WI Caregiver Background Checks including Department of Justice Criminal Record Checks, and/or that of previous states of residence.


WORKING CONDITIONS

 
Human Resources Intern will be providing service in a general office environment. There may be exposure to loud noises, white noise, extended periods of sitting, various interruptions, and bright lighting.
