People Analytics Summer Internship

Do you have a passion for people and data? Do you want to acquire human resource skills such as communication, adaptability, employee engagement, project management, etc.? Are you interested in getting hands on experience with people analytics functions such as process mapping and improvement, qualitative and quantitative analytics, etc.? If so, Education Analytics is looking for you!
Education Analytics (EA) is seeking energetic summer interns with a passion for supporting staff in an education based organization. EA is a non-profit organization based in Madison, WI. We partner with school districts, regional offices of education, non-profits, and policymakers to identify ways to improve education systems.
Many of EA’s partner organizations are large public-school districts that serve diverse, often under-represented student populations, and EA values the breadth of educational experiences in employees that reflect these populations. We encourage students from all ethnic and racial backgrounds, sexual orientations and gender identities, and those who are first-generation college students to apply for this position.
What you will learn and do
  • Get hands on experience with people analytics skills
  • Learn a breadth of HR areas and skills
  • Learn about process mapping and improvement
  • Develop communication, organization, analytical, and report writing skills
  • Suggest and help improve the HR functions at EA
Qualifications/Skills:
  • 3rd/4th year student working towards a field relation to organization behavior such as Industrial Organizational Psychology, Communications, Human Resources, or a Business related degree
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organization and time management skills; ability to plan and coordinate work independently
  • Ability to take initiative and risks
  • Ability to be flexible in the work environment adapt to changing organizational needs
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office tools/programs
  • Experience in project management work is a plus
Job Responsibilities:
  • Create communication of Learning and Development platforms
  • Create and manage comprehensive analytics that help to drive employee engagement and professional development
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Create reports that include summaries, graphs, diagrams, and other visual representations
  • Work within a team to complete various human resource projects
This is a 12+ week, paid internship.
