A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A PROJECT ENGINEER

As a Project Engineer, you are at the heart of our product design team. You will design, develop, release, and provide support for ABS conveying and blending equipment. You will evaluate the needs of the customer, the project scope, and environmental constraints. Using SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD software, you'll generate production level system design and installation drawings to improve safety, reliability, and throughput for our customers.You will oversee the project development and follow the build through the manufacturing, installation, and commissioning. Problem-solving is a key skill as you work to solve complex problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers, and customers.
You'll utilize your written and verbal communication skills as you work with the customer and engineering department to decide the best route for piping and equipment layout. As a Project Engineer at ABS, you are instrumental to ensuring our product is made to the customers' specifications and is top-of-the-line in both performance and looks.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR PROJECT ENGINEER
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited school of engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of 3D SOLIDWORKS or similar design software
  • Use of logic and reasoning in daily decision making and problem solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Construction, manufacturing, and/or material handling system design/installation experience preferred

WORK SCHEDULE AS A PROJECT ENGINEER

The typical schedule for this full-time position is Monday - Friday with weekends free!
