Business Development Intern

For 115 years, Demco has served libraries and schools as the leading provider of solutions that support lifelong learning and enrichment. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is excited about a career in sales, which includes building client relationships that are personally, professionally, and financially rewarding. We take pride in our personal, consultative approach to “finding solutions for our libraries and schools, not customers for our products.”
 
Key Roles & Responsibilities
·        Calling market professionals at K–12 schools and public libraries to prospect future booking activity
·        Understanding the customer’s buying process, key purchasing contacts, budget and funding availability, and upcoming opportunities
·        Providing information about identified opportunities to other Sales team members
·        Assisting the Sales team with other ad hoc projects and campaigns
·        Participating in education and job shadowing sessions within Demco for the purpose of cultivating a well-rounded career
 
Education & Experience Requirements
Qualified candidates are recent college graduates or college seniors looking to gain professional work experience. Schedules must allow for full-time or significant part-time work (40-20 hours/week). This is a paid internship with the ability to earn incentives as well. The ideal candidate is:
