Web Developer Internship

Summary
Doubleberry Interactive is a small but rapidly growing web design and development firm based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  We are looking for a highly motivated entry-level web developer for a paid internship that may lead to full time employment.  Hours are flexible. This is an excellent opportunity to earn money and learn the business from a team with decades of web development experience.

General Job Duties:
A Web Developer creates and designs clients’ websites according to specification. Web development is any activity related to building a website. It typically refers only to the non-design aspects of constructing web sites like markup writing and coding. 

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Work on projects including web layout enhancements, website enhancements, web-based applications, and database-backed websites
• Design and develop websites ensuring strong optimization and functionality
• Front-end development: Markup, CSS/LESS/SCSS, some javascript
• Code web pages utilizing HTML5 and languages including JavaScript, SQL, and PHP and combinations of languages for instance AJAX
• Work in a variety of development frameworks including Laravel, CodeIgniter, ExpressionEngine, WordPress and Zend Framework
• Work with various database systems including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQL Server and frameworks including ADO and ODBC
• Interact with servers using SSH and S/FTP
• Monitor site technical performance and web server
• Analyze, review and modify web systems by designing, maintaining, documenting, testing, developing and monitoring
• Assist in the planning of overall company policy regarding search engine optimization and web development
• Maintain daily record of work, including client, project, time on task and type of work
• Provide technical support to Doubleberry clients, including phone support and on-site visits
