Paraplanner

Position Overview:
M&E Catalyst Group is a team of financial planners and wealth managers providing a first-class experience to high net worth individuals, business owners, families and individuals. We are looking to expand our team through a professional, bright, detail-oriented, self-motivated and passionate individual in a Paraplanner role. The Paraplanner is responsible for supporting our team as we address key areas of financial planning for our clients: retirement and estate planning, education funding, income tax planning, investment analysis and cash flow analysis. This role provides a great opportunity to grow in a very fulfilling career with an established financial planning practice and to learn from top advisors.
 
Paraplanner Role:
· Review and analyze documents, tax returns, statements, etc.
· Interact with clients to assist with their servicing needs related to their planning  
· Prepare financial projections
· Prepare presentations for clients/prospect meetings
· Direct communication with industry professionals (e.g. CPAs, Attorneys, Bankers)
Characteristics:
· Effective oral and written communication skills to successfully interact with prospects, clients and other financial professionals
· Highly developed level of discretion and sound judgment
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to work within deadlines
· Ability to work effectively with and add value to a goal oriented team
 
Qualifications:
·        Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance and/or a related field
·        2 years of experience in the Finance, Accounting, or Investing Professions
·        Base understanding of the industry, financial concepts, product and market knowledge, and investment management
·        High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
·        Ability to read and analyze financial documents and spreadsheets
 
Desired Qualifications:
· Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) as well as Life, Accident and Health Licenses preferred
· Experience utilizing financial planning software (eMoney, MoneyGuide Pro, etc.) to analyze situations and build financial plans
