Occupational Therapist - 40% Position


OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST - 40% POSITION
DISTRICT-WIDE 

QUALIFICATIONS:
1.    Must be a Wisconsin state-certified and Wisconsin DPI licensed occupational therapist. Preference will be given to the applicant who holds a Wisconsin DPI license #O051.
2.    Ability to service students ages three to 21.
3.    Ability to travel among multiple schools is required.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.    Ability to work well with others as part of a team.
2.    Flexibility.
3.    Pediatric experience beneficial.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
In the education environment, occupational therapy is a related service. Its role is to assist identified students with disabilities to benefit from special education. The school therapist provides occupational therapy support services to special education students (ages three to 21) in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin, the American Occupational Therapy Association Standards of Practice, the AOTA Code of Ethics, and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The school occupational therapist collaborates with educators, administrators, and parents to support the mission of education in the environment of the school.

We further support our PLC process with Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS), Response to Intervention (RtI), and 21st Century Skills.
