SOAR Middle School teacher

School of Options and Applied Research Middle School (SOAR MS)
Grades 5-8, Multi age Classroom

We are a small, community-based charter school, which serves children in 5th-8th grade in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin. SOAR MS provides a Project Based Learning environment for the families of the Northland Pines School District and surrounding areas. We pride ourselves in working collaboratively to provide a powerful integration of Project Based Learning with an individualized approach to skill acquisition and personal growth. SOAR Charter Middle School delivers an engaging, rigorous, standards-based curriculum that prepares students to be successful in the 21st century.

Required: Professional Education Licensure for Grades 6-12 in any content area or a Charter School License (or ability to obtain either license)
*Knowledge and awareness of philosophy and practices of a charter school
*Strong background in Reading, Writing, and Math instruction
*Knowledge and experience with Project Based Learning
*Knowledge and experience with 21st Century Skills
*Knowledge and awareness of developmentally appropriate practices
*Knowledge and experience in the integration of technology to enhance student learning
*Experience working directly with a school board
*Experience and passion for working with colleagues in a team approach
*Experience of working as a mentor to students
