Electrical Engineer

Summary:
RexCon, Inc is a U.S. manufacturer of high-quality stationary and portable, central mix and ready mix concrete batch plants, concrete mixers, and concrete paving equipment. For decades, the RexCon product line has been an industry leader in quality designed, durable, high-production concrete plants and mixers.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
·       Design motor control panels, control systems, and power and signal distribution.
·       Specify and pick new components as needed.
·       Create and edit electrical drawings in AUTOCAD Electrical, including for electrical control boxes and system interconnects
·       Fluently create and read single and three phase electrical schematics.
·       Test Rexcon’s concrete batching control and communications equipment to ensure that it meets specifications and the needs of our customers.
·       Assist in handling preparing, producing, and monitoring shop orders.
·       Maintain shop performance and efficiency, including tracking inventory.
·       Configure and test Variable Frequency Drives.
 
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
·       Excellent skills in AUTOCAD Electrical.
·       Excellent people skills and desire to help customers resolve problems.
·       Experience in working with Microsoft Office.
·       Experience with inventory and shop floor control programs.
·       Experience at designing, building, and debugging electronic equipment, including process controls.
·       Understand AC and DC power sources (single phase, three phase) and related equipment (motors, circuit breakers, transformers, power factor correction, uninterruptible power supplies, etc.). 
·       Understand DC proportional signals and how to measure them (e.g. process control equipment utilizing a variable speed drive or control valve).
·       Understand the difference between safety ground and signal ground.
·       Familiarity with UL Standards (preferable UL508A).
·       Familiarity with Variable Frequency Drives.
·       Familiarity with Power Transmission.
 
Education and Experience:
·       Bachelor’s degree preferred
·       Experience in manufacturing setting a plus
·       2-5 years’ experience
