Special Education Teacher - Bay View Middle School

Description:
Plans, implements and assesses student learning experiences. Helps foster a love of learning for students and appropriately guides the learner to lead their learning. Facilitates parental involvement. Able to assist students with academics and regulating behavior and able to personalize goals and schedules to meet the needs of the students. This position is located at Bay View Middle School for Grades 7-8. Start date is August 16, 2021.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. Licensure and certification by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction in Special Education, Cross-categorical or Cognitive Disabilities (1801 or 1810). Successful completion of student teaching experience. Knowledge of current educational methodology and practices.

Experience in or knowledge of:
Viable candidates will be an active member of the school community, be able to create a positive and supportive classroom community, be organized and efficient, and to facilitate the district and school's mission to develop 21st Century Learners. Desired experience with working with students with special needs.
