Field and Laboratory Technician - Summer

Soils & Engineering Services, Inc., a locally-owned Madison, Wisconsin-based geotechnical engineering firm, is seeking to add a summer Field/Lab Technician to our team. We are a small-sized company that works on large-scale projects. Our student technicians are able to build upon their classroom knowledge by performing field and laboratory tests on soils and other materials, as well as supporting our drilling crews with sampling tasks.

Responsibilities include:

·      Sampling and testing soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt

·      Observing and documenting field activities

·      Obtaining samples for laboratory analyses

·      Logging soils during geotechnical drilling operations

Necessary training and certification is provided by the company.

Company hours are 7:30 to 5:00 Monday - Friday. Early morning, evening and out-of-town overnight work may be needed based upon project needs.
