This role is a great opportunity for someone with a technical mind who is looking for flexibility in working hours and is passionate about delivery a high quality of service to customers. 
 
We are offering the opportunity to become part of our global support team as first level support to Softlink’s customers and product users in the library industry. It involves handling calls, and emails, troubleshooting, and providing top level communication to our customers as well as other involvement in server software installations and upgrades, and training sessions with customers with plenty of opportunities to grow and learn new skills.
 
Key responsibilities:
·        Providing online and telephone support to customers with technical queries regarding our software products
·        Problem solving and working with a wide range of customers
·        Providing some consulting and training to our customers
·        Installing and upgrading software on our cloud hosted servers and on-premise customer servers.
·        Assisting with consulting and product customizations.
 
 
Essential Requirements:
·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deal professionally with both technical and non-technical customers
·        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
·        Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
·        A good understanding of the Windows server environment
·        A good understanding of web applications
 
Additional Skills that would benefit the role:
·        A good knowledge of HTML
·        Prior knowledge of Microsoft SQL
·        Technical support experience
·        Experience in libraries, or the library industry
·        IT qualifications
