Chick-fil-A Leadership Internship (Manager in Training)

Chick-fil-A Oshkosh is pleased to offer a flexible internship program for students or recent graduates who aspire a career in management, or are interested in becoming a Chick-fil-A Owner/Operator. Our program is flexible to help students meet internship requirements, and interns are coached and mentored on their leadership skills in areas of the restaurant including hospitality, kitchen, sales, catering, and more, while serving on our Operations team. 
Our Internship program is an excellent opportunity for individuals who desire careers in entrepreneurship, business, culinary, or hospitality, specifically within Chick-fil-A for the long-term. Interns start as a Team member or a Shift Leader, and are given the responsibility of overseeing a specific area of the business. The intern learns about managing labor, food cost, and leadership. Depending on their performance in the program, participants may be offered a long-term position in leadership within our organization. 
Our Intern has the unique opportunity of learning by being involved with our brand new team.

Pay Type: Starting at up to $13/hr

Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled or graduated from a college or vocational program
  • Proven ability to lead in a restaurant, or another similar environment is preferable
  • Basic computer and iPad competency including Word and Excel
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position which includes, but is not limited to, standing for up to 10 hours and lifting up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities:
  • Leads shifts without any supervision once trained
  • Supports the senior leadership team by completing any delegated tasks
  • Takes action to solve customer issues or complaints as they arise
  • Communicates employee performance and policy/procedure violations to the Senior Leadership Team
  • Able to correctly interpret the intentions of the weekly schedule and place team members in the place most suited to their skills
  • Maintains a positive working relationship and treats all reporting employees with respect while providing them with direction and feedback
  • Serves as subject matter expert for all tasks for the specific area the oversees
  • Responsible for inventory & facilities management
  • Complete understanding of each key position in both the front and back of the store from an operations standpoint
  • All other duties as assigned
