Operations Management Intern
Summary
Responsible for analyzing the production room to identify areas for improvement and create standards based on current, projected, and ideal performance metrics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include but not limited to:
- Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times.
- Work with production team to understand product flow, processes, and procedures
- Collect and analyze data after performing time studies and/or pulling current performance data
- Identify improvements to current processes
- Collaborate with team and management to recommend and implement process changes
- Prepare project overview and present findings to executive leadership
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to successfully perform the job.
Education and Experience
Required:
- Pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree
- Degree or extensive coursework in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related program
Preferred:
- Targeted graduation of June 2021 or earlier
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement and methodologies (i.e. LEAN, Kaizen, Six Sigma)
- Strong mathematics background
