Position Summary:   This position will serve as administrative support to the Public Assistance Collection Section (PACS). A basic level of knowledge of computer software, including MS Office, MS outlook and database systems is a requirement of this position. This position will perform administrative support, quality assurance, and program support activities for the Collection Section. This position requires skills in judgment and interpersonal relations and a professional attitude and demeanor.

Special Notes:   Due to the nature of the position, final candidates will be required to complete a comprehensive fingerprint-based background investigation to determine whether the circumstances of any pending charges or convictions would be substantially related to the job being filled.

Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DCF sponsorship.) The Department of Children and Families does not sponsor visas, either at time of hire or at any later time.

Minimally qualified applicants will have:
- Experience providing administrative support in a professional setting (answering phones, opening/sorting mail, maintaining/updating spreadsheets, writing/proofreading memos, etc.)
- Experience working with data entry and/or maintaining records (scanning, uploading, filing, etc.)

Well-qualified applicants will have:
- Experience working with large database systems (such as Mainframe, WEBi, CARES, etc.)
- Experience composing and editing correspondence for business needs and/or management
- Experience scheduling and maintaining calendars (scheduling meetings, appointments, travel arrangements, etc.)
