Program Assistant II, Disability Access


This position supports the Center for Student Academic Success (CSAS) with responsibility and
duties primarily aligned with the Disability Access office. Greets visitors and provides a first point of
contact, creating an inclusive and welcoming experience. This individual performs moderately
complex administrative and budgetary duties for the professional staff in the Disability office, as well
as general support to the Center’s Director. Incumbent is expected to function professionally with and
without direct supervision, using discretion and maintaining confidentiality. All activities in this position
are carried out in direct support of Gonzaga University’s Mission.

Minimum Qualifications:

HS Diploma or GED
Two (2) years’ experience in progressive office support with budget, bookkeeping or accounting responsibilities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate job-related processes to internal and external customers
Microsoft Word skills to include the ability to create reports, containing graphs and other
intermediate functions (e.g. perform mail merge, insert table of contents).
Microsoft Excel skills to include the ability to create spreadsheets (e.g. formulas, filters, graphs).
Maintain composure in fast paced work environment.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities with frequent interruptions.
Demonstrated ability to operate with a high level of confidently and discretion.
Demonstrated ability to accurately input data into various systems.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree.
1 year experience in higher education.
1 year experience working with students with disabilities.
