GRADUATE STUDENT-R&D - COMPUTATIONAL BIOMEDICINE

Who We Are:

Join our Intelligent Systems Division as an Intern! The Intelligent Systems Division develops automated solutions for commercial and government clients in multiple domains including transportation (traffic management, connected automated vehicle), manufacturing robotics, medical prognostics, etc.

Objectives of this Role:

  • This summer student position will support ongoing research and development projects to improve accuracy and efficiency when diagnosing diseases and develop complex bioinformatics data analysis. We work with industry partners to innovate in the area of computational biomedicine

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Help develop hardware and/or software solutions for healthcare applications
  • Coordinate technical tasks with project managers and engineering staff
  • Support preparation of technical documentation and presentation material
  • Present results of project to SwRI staff

Requirements:

  • Must be pursuing an MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or directly related
  • Academic coursework and project work related to artificial intelligence/machine learning/computer vision
  • 1 years: A valid/clear driver's license is required

Special Requirements:

Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
