Deputy Register of Deeds/Records Clerk

The Register of Deeds office has an opening for a part-time [17.5 hours/week] Deputy Register of Deeds/Records Clerk. Individual will work directly with the public, attorneys, surveyors, title company representatives and other customers. Ability to interpret, explain, and apply policies, regulations, laws and procedures according to Wisconsin State Statutes with reference to real estate and vital records.

Applicants must have a high school diploma, or equivalent, with a minimum of two years of combined training and work experience in the clerical field including one year of substantial involvement with real estate documents and one to two years of computer experience in a Windows environment.  Individual must be able to analyze and categorize data and information with accuracy, ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, typically involving lifting (up to 20 lbs.).
