Transportation Planner

Do you want to work with brands that millions of consumers love and use every day? As a Transportation Planner, you are key in enabling P&G to ship by supporting a fast-paced and dynamic environment within the daily operations of our North America Transportation Organization.
Transportation Planners are responsible for creating shipments of finished product from P&G or contract manufacturing facilities to other P&G sites, Contract Manufacturing sites and customers across North America, ensuring service requirements are met at the lowest possible cost. 
Key tasks include: 
    * shipment planning
    * freight auction execution
    * and daily communication across the transportation network e.g. carriers, ship sites, business units and the Customer Service Organization.  
Transportation Planners, on top of their daily executional work, also participate in various loss elimination and innovation projects where key skills, like trend analysis and opportunity identification, are crucial. 
This role will facilitate technical mastery in TMS and portions of SAP. Transportation Planners provide individual exposure to a key part of the supply chain and an important understanding of how transportation fits into the company’s end to end strategy. You will have great visibility to numerous partners—internal and external—to P&G. 
Requirements (skills / experiences) for the role: 
    * Basic understanding of transportation and warehouse execution.
    * Basic excel skills needed, intermediate excel skills preferred due to amount of excel manipulation done as part of shipment planning.
    * Familiarity with Tableau desired due to work executed using Tableau Server with opportunity to utilize Tableau desktop to create innovative tools for the department.
    * Experience with TMS and SAP desired, but not required.
