Global Safety Surveillance and Analysis Data Analyst

The GSSA Data Analyst is the subject matter expert on all data query tools and data mart architecture used by GSSA. It is critical for P&G to gain in-depth understanding of in-market product safety data in order to drive regulatory compliance and continued product improvement. The PV Data Analyst will create custom applications and reports as well as manage ad hoc data requests to help internal customers in identifying and understanding data, applications, programming issues, and/or health concerns for in-market products. The Data Analyst will deliver data analytic solutions ranging from descriptive, predictive, or prescriptive, to machine learning and AI in data models as well as algorithm development for big data analytics. The GSSA Data Scientist will be accountable for:
    * Evaluating post-market safety data as well as other relevant data sets and proposing algorithmic solutions to extract business value: algorithms include but are not limited to natural language processing, structured and unstructured data (text) classification, and machine/deep learning.
    * Developing tools with statistical and/or artificial intelligence models to automate established routine work processes or analyses.
    * Continuously improving current data mining methodology, tools, and systems.
    * Collaborating with multi-functional teams to develop innovative and effective approaches to address post-market safety issues.
Requirements (skills / experiences) for the role: 
    * BS or MS in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Math, or other quantitative discipline.
    * Proficient in R and at least one other data modelling/analysis language, such as Python -Ability to explore and manipulate structured and unstructured data at moderate/large scale.
    * Experience with analytical tools, including manipulation and visualization of data using reporting tools. Statistical analysis experience or clinically oriented informatics research is a plus but not required. Experience with Tableau, Microsoft BI tools, and/or Alteryx is a plus.
    * Experience in data analytics: extracting/summarizing data and reporting results with strong understanding of data models, relationships and sound analytical principles.
    * Strong written and verbal communication in English with ability to communicate technical topics to non-analyst colleagues. Experience communicating human health, safety, and clinical information is a plus.
    * Ability to work in complex systems.
    * Good collaboration skills, able to establish and maintain strong working relationships.
    * Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
