Environmental Scientist/Engineer – BS/MS

We are seeking a BS/MS level environmental scientist/engineer to join Procter & Gamble’s Flushability Lab as part of our Global Product Stewardship (GPS) organization located at the Winton Hill research and business center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Main responsibilities include (1) Technical leadership on assessment methodologies for the flushability and compostability of products and materials; (2) Operational leadership of the P&G Flushability Lab.
Requirements (skills / experiences) for the role:
    * BS or MS in environmental science or engineering with in-depth knowledge and experience in the evaluation of consumer products for compatibility with wastewater infrastructure. Working knowledge in allied fields such as environmental engineering, environmental chemistry, microbiology, and sewer system modeling is beneficial.
    * Must have in-depth and hands-on laboratory experience utilizing flushability methods to evaluate fate of consumer product and compatibility with household plumbing, wastewater conveyance systems and wastewater treatment plants. Experience regarding sewer system hydraulic modeling and composting will be a plus.
    * Strong project management and operational skills, especially the ability to manage multiple priorities and customers and manage contractors.
    * Strong communication and partnership skills to enable seamless collaboration with customers and stakeholders inside and outside the Company.
    * Experience working with trade associations, regulators, and industry partners in collaborative setting to drive synthesis of ideas and move science forward.
    * The successful applicant will join a team of environmental scientists focused on the evaluation of the flushability of consumer and personal care products that leverage laboratory, field, and modeling capabilities.
