Davis Tool has immediate openings for experienced assembly workers. Successful applicants will be responsible for completing assemblies to customer drawings and specifications. Assemblies consist of mechanical and electronic components. Our environment includes both high mix and high volume assembly areas.
Day Shift Monday – Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Daily tasks include:
- Safely assemble components using rivets, crimps, bolts, and other custom hardware.
- Meet quality and time standards.
- Use inspection gauges like micrometers and calipers to verify work.
- Understand and work to customer drawings, industry standards, and specifications.
- Standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, twisting, climbing, walking for entire shift.
We are looking for candidates that have the following attributes:
- Demonstrated continued learning and education
- Demonstrated assembly experience using rivet guns, hardware presses, and a variety of hand tools like screw drivers, wrenches, etc.
- Knowledge of different types of screws, nuts, hardware, rivets, etc.
- Are able to read, comprehend and interpret drawings, customer specifications and quality management documentation.
- Process oriented
- Training in Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Good attendance and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good computer skills.
- Able to perform both mechanical and electronic assembly.
- Are able to routinely handle objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
