Cyber Security Engineer

JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to support activities to perform STIG and IAVA verification activities on systems/servers operating Linux Operating Systems, Windows Operating Systems, and other infrastructure devices to support Security Impact Assessments and other related IA artifacts and reports as required. You will be interacting directly with customer stakeholders, executives, and other personnel, providing thought leadership for program assessments. 

RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Performing STIG and IAVA verification activities on systems/servers
•    Prepare related Information Assurance artifacts & reports
•    Support program leadership with information security assurance expertise
•    Coordinate with Zivaro management to work toward program success
•    Evaluate current program solutions & architecture to include applications, databases and networks
•    Perform risk analysis & assessments to provide program with enhanced security posture
•    Manage multiple tasks while positively influence team members, establishing and maintaining excellent customer relationships and delivering positive results

QUALIFICATIONS
•    3 – 5 minimum years of experience performing Cyber Security/Information Assurance functions
•    Experience working on government contracts
•    Experience with risk analysis and review
•    Security+ required
•    Prior STIG and IAVA patching and/or /verification experience with DoD mission systems to NIPRNet and SIPRNet 
•    Experience using ACAS and applying STIGs manually to generate Information Assurance artifacts/bodies of evidence
•    Active Secret Clearance Required - minimum
DESIRED SKILLS
•    Familiarity with the existing Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) aerospace defense systems, and experience with ITW/AA systems verification policies and procedures.
•    Ability to understand and apply commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the systems engineering field (ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288, Mil-Std-499B).
•    Adept at communicating with all levels within and outside the company, ability to prepare and deliver presentations/summaries (both verbal and written) which appropriately address the intended audience.
•    Experience with Agile methodologies including Kanban
•    Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA)
•    Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

EDUCATION
•    Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS Engineering, Computer Science, or Math) preferred; or equivalent years of professional experience.

U.S. Citizenship is required for most positions at Zivaro due to security clearance requirements and government/federal contracts held by Zivaro.
