Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Intern - Summer 2021

As an AVANGRID intern, you will be part of our team by supporting the company’s strategic direction while tackling current industry challenges. During this internship, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside mentors and professionals who rank among the best in their fields. This program is a key pipeline for full-time opportunity and development programs at AVANGRID. As part of our intern program, you may be exposed to several areas, working on special projects as assigned. Here are a selected group of business areas that you may work and collaborate with:
Our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program focuses on fostering a robust ERM framework which includes employing methods to identify, evaluate, and report on key risks that are vital to the company’s strategy and operational success. As part of the program, you’ll partake in key projects that will further strengthen our ERM program.  Risk Management is a wide field which can provide you many opportunities for learning, critical thinking, gathering and analyzing data, and recommending conclusions that will improve business’s performance and enabling informed decisions. Our ERM program contains both qualitative and quantitative assessment and would encompass all types of risks that AVANGRID faces.  
We expect all our interns to contribute and bring fresh perspective to our ERM practices and methods as we evolve as a leader in the Energy industry.  As part of AVANGRID ERM, we just don’t look for the essentials in enterprise risk management, we look for critical thinkers who seek continuous improvement, have a desire to understand risks that face our Company, and who are willing to work with multiple business areas to identify the root causes of a risk and the mitigations that we should employ.

Requirements:
·      Junior pursuing a pursuing a Bachelor’s or 1st year Master’s student seeking an Enterprise Risk Management or relatable degree
·      Preferred GPA 3.2
·      Exposure and understanding of Statistical or ERM Modeling, preferred
·      Moderate to Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, VBA, macros etc.)
·      Legally authorized to work in the United States without the requirement for future sponsorship
