Logistics Co-op
Job Summary: The Cooper Standard Supply Chain Management Team in Northville, MI has an exciting chance for an Intern to provide support for the Summer 2021 Program. This position will provide you the opportunity to perform various functions including providing administrative support to the Logistics Manager. You will handle job tasks supporting the transportation management system, the development, and updates to KPIs and other logistics related clerical, planning, and administrative duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support with developing and preparing systems, reports, and/or presentation material for the logistics team
- Responsible for the review, verification, and reconciliation of shipments and associated documents from shipment creation to carrier payment.
- Communicate with carriers to ensure prompt pick-up and delivery of shipments
- May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description.
Requirements:
- Must have met the credit requirements to achieve Senior level student status prior to May 2021, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Must have a minimum 3.0 G.P.A.
- This position involves a measure of inter-departmental and external company interaction, so interpersonal communication is a must
- Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:

- Computer and electronics skills
- Ability to organize, plan, and complete multiple tasks
- Possess excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Critical Thinking: Using logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
- Ability to multitask and shift priorities
Work Environment/Conditions:
- Professional Office Environment
- Must wear proper PPE while on manufacturing floor
- Travel to manufacturing facilities or customer locations when needed
