Talent Strategy Intern

Job Summary: The Cooper Standard Human Resources Team in Northville, MI has an exciting chance for an Intern to provide support for their Summer 2021 Program. This position will provide you with an opportunity to understand and support the Cooper Standard Talent Acquisition and Talent Management teams. You will perform a variety of duties related to a Human Resources Business Partner, Human Resources Generalist, and a Project Manager. The projects will include supporting Talent Acquisition operations, exporting reports from various talent systems and analyzing the data, assisting with Summer 2021 Internship Program, and optimizing the Talent Acquisition process.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Partner with TA Operations in the optimization of the Workday ATS and global CRM systems 
  • Support the Summer Intern program through event coordination, communications, surveys and content development 
  • Pull and analyze reports from multiple talent systems 
  • Support the development of employer branding activities, including social media content and targeted marketing campaigns 
  • Partner closely with the US recruitment team to coordinate and support the onsite interview process 
  • Assist with special projects which may require research, gathering data and preparing Excel and PowerPoint documents 
  • Support the design and development of talent management initiatives, working with functional SMEs and HR (Business Partners, Talent Management, and Instructional Design) 
  • May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description. 
 
Requirements: 
  • Must have met the credit requirements to achieve Senior level student status prior to May 2021, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Human Resources Development, Business Administration, or related field 
  • Must have a minimum 3.0 G.P.A.  
  • Must be able to work from our Northville, MI location 
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills 
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications 
  • Must have good organizational skills 
  • Must have positive attitude and good work ethic 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook.  
  • Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas: 
  • Problem solving and decision making 
  • Problem identification 
  • Computer and electronics skills 
  • Ability to organize, plan, and complete multiple tasks 
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills 
 
Work Environment/Conditions: 
  • Professional Office Environment 
  • Must wear proper PPE while on manufacturing floor 
  • Travel to manufacturing facilities or customer locations when needed
